Family Promise is unique in how it helps families who find themselves homeless. This faith-based organization depends on hundreds of volunteers and the support of local churches to house and feed families on a rotating basis. It assists parents in developing job skills and finding jobs, obtaining transportation, as well as locating permanent housing. Children remain in the school district their families come from. Follow-up is a part of each family's transition from homelessness to a home.
Due to COVID-19 the need is even greater today to help organizations like Family Promise. We are not able to do the annual walk to end homeless in the usual way. Individuals will be walking, swimming, biking, dancing, or whatever they choose for 7 days from June 21-28. Join me as I "walk" to end homelessness. Whatever support you can give will make a difference in helping to serve more children and their parents for Family Promise North Shore Boston. Who knows what the ripple effect will be!
