We're walking to support Family Promise North Shore Boston

As most of you know, I have been involved with FPNSB for a number of years now, and I can say, without question, that our services and programs are needed now more than they ever have been before.

Family Promise is one of the leading agencies in the North Shore community providing invaluable services to families in need of safe and stable housing. We are community founded, community based, and community supported.

This is why we need your help! The combination of the pandemic, skyrocketing housing costs, the end of several government support programs and renter support initiatives has created a housing crisis in our community. FPNSB has added new programs to provide advice and guidance to families who are at risk of losing their home, in addition to our long-running shelter program. We also provide funds to keep families in their current home through rent support and landlord negotiation.

The need is so great that we can't even field all of the calls to our offices, but our staff continue to work tirelessly to help. As a result, we are having direct and tangible impacts on dozens of families per week - guiding them through state and federal aid programs and shelter systems, providing direct financial support when needed, intervening to keep families housed who would otherwise be left without options, while also running our own small shelter for a few families at a time.

FPNSB still receives zero federal or state government aid, so we rely completely on the generosity of our donors. Many of you have supported me in fundraisers like this in the past, and I am grateful for whatever support you can provide this time as well.
